EBSCO is a multidisciplinary database covering the social sciences, business and engineering disciplines.

Education Database

Education Journals gives users access to over 900 top educational publications, including more than 600 of the titles in full text. The coverage spans the literature on primary, secondary and higher education as well as special education, home schooling and adult education. Many titles are indexed in the ERIC database.

Education Research Complete

Education Research Complete is the definitive online resource for education research. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 2,100 journals, as well as full text for more than 1,200 journals, and includes full text for nearly 500 books and monographs.

Electronic Library of Mathematics

The Electronic Library of Mathematics contains online journals, article collections, monographs, and other electronic resources in the field of mathematics. All material is in electronic form and access is generally free, except for some periodicals with a "moving wall", i.e., a certain delay period after which resources become freely available.


Emerald contains the journals and books in the areas of business and social sciences from one publisher only, Emerald Group Publishing. All journals and all but the most recent books are available in full text.

Encyclopedia Britannica

Encyclopedia Britannica delivers fast and easy access to high-quality, comprehensive information. The rich combination of the insightful Encyclopedia Britannica plus Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus, magazines and periodicals, and many other research tools provides the variety of reliable sources that students need to consult when conducting thorough research—all from one database.

Environment Complete

Environment Complete contains more than 2.4 million records from more than 2,200 domestic and international titles going back to 1888 (including over 1,350 active core titles) as well as more than 190 monographs. The database also contains full text for more than 920 journals.


ERIC, the Education Resource Information Center, contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

ERIC‎ (1966 - current)

This database is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to education-related literature. ERIC provides coverage of journal articles, conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs.

Europe PubMed Central (Europe PMC)

Europe PubMed Central (Europe PMC) offers free access to biomedical literature resources including, PubMed abstracts (about 22 million), Europe PMC full text articles (about 2.2 million, of which over 400,000 are Open Access), Patent abstracts (over 4 million European, US, and International), National Health Service (NHS) clinical guidelines, Agricola records (500,000), Supplemented with Chinese Biological Abstracts and the Citeseer database.

Exam Master/USMLE

Exam Master's question bank contains exam practice material for: USMLE Steps 1, 2 and 3; Medical Board Exams, including family practice, internal medicine, and surgery; several medical specialties, including anatomy, microbiology and physiology. Users register via Remote Access at Exam Master, and set up personal logins in order to create and save their exam questions in the Exam Master database. To register or access your Exam Master account, log in to your Alfaisal Library account first. In the database, follow the link that says, "Not registered yet?" if you are a new user. Please, enter your institutional email address when signing up at the Exam Master site; this is necessary for our verification purposes, then send an email to librarian@alfaisal.edu to activate your account. The publisher recommends new users take the tutorial they are presented with on first login, before proceeding to select their exam materials.
